It’s in the List

by admin on December 16, 2008

The golden rule of Internet Marketing is to establish a large list of opt-in subscribers. The money is in the list. You’ve probably heard that said over and over again. You keep hearing it because it is absolutely true. The larger your opt-in list is, the more money you will take in - it’s a proven fact that you should not ignore if you hope to be prosperous. There are numerous benefits to getting opt-in subscribers.
When a person makes a purchase from you, this is the time to start getting opt-in subscribers. You want to collect that email address. Otherwise, they will make their purchase, and happily go on with their lives - and probably forget all about you. You don’t want that to happen. You want to have the ability to sell future products or upgrades to them in the future - For more detail go to: www.autoresponder-money.com. but without that email address, and without their permission to send them email, you’ve lost contact with that customer forever - unless you are lucky enough for them to remember you, or to find you again.
If you ask any successful Internet marketer what their most valuable business asset is, they will absolutely tell you it is their opt-in list. If their house was burning down, and they could only save one item, it would be their list, the backup disk that holds the list or the computer that has the list on it…but it would be the opt-in list that they would save! Many Internet marketers even keep their backup disk of their opt-in list locked in a fireproof safe. Some have the disk in a safety deposit box at the bank! If the list wasn’t so valuable, why would they go to so much trouble to protect it?
The bigger your list is, the more powerful you will become on the Internet marketing community. That’s right, there is indeed a pecking order, and he who holds the biggest list wins. That list will give you opportunities that you would not have without it. Other marketers will approach you on a daily basis to do joint ventures. Those joint ventures will typically have to do with your list - and their large list as well. When you have a big opt-in list, you make more money - with less effort. You won’t have to go look for deals or for ways to make money. The opportunities will be lining up at your front door.
Getting opt-in email subscribers is the key to making sales. It is the golden key to getting website visitors. It is how you communicate quickly with a very large group of people who are interested in what you have to say. . As you build credibility with your subscribers, every time you make a product recommendation, they will go check it out - a large number of them will make a purchase.
You’ve probably heard about claims of people who work an hour a day and rake in tons of cash. Unfortunately, the business opportunities that offer you this are usually scams. But what if that was really possible? Wouldn’t you take advantage of it? Wouldn’t you love to just work one hour a day and make all the money that you need and then some? Of course you would.
Well, when you have put in the time and work necessary for getting opt-in email subscribers, and you’ve built a huge list, it is entirely possible, and there are Internet marketers who actually do this. They get up, they write an email for their list - usually giving great content or recommending a product or something of this nature (something that will make them money), then they send the email to their list. They are done for the day. They walk away from their computer knowing that they will make money simply because they sent that email to their list. Isn’t that a good enough reason to start getting opt-in subscribers for your own list?

Hot Tub Parties

by admin on December 9, 2008

Sitting in a hot tub, soaking away all of life’s anxieties and relaxing is a wonderful way to spend an evening.  Now imagine doing that with friends and making a party out of it!  Wouldn’t this be a great idea for your next upcoming weekend party?  If you are familiar with hot tubs, this might be a great ‘business idea’ for you to look into.  Make good money by renting out hot tubs for parties or anything else people might like to rent a hot tub for.  Some people might even like to rent a hot tub for more than a weekend, for healing therapy after an injury.

You can charge about $200 per day and give a discount for those who want it for a full weekend (Friday to Monday morning) or even longer for those that might be using it for medical reasons.  What ever the reasons for renting a hot tub from you, make sure that you are making the needed money to keep your business profitable.

Offer to set up the hot tub for your customers; this will assure you that the hot tub is running smoothly and hooked up properly, when you leave.  When you go back to pick it up, make sure you have a power washer to clean it out well after each use.  It is also very important to disinfect it between renting occasions; you can decide to do this when you pick it up or when you have it in your storage area.

Check to see if there are any other businesses offering this in your area to see if you have any competition.  This can help you decide what your possible market is, what you can charge, and if you will need to offer incentives to your customers to rent from you instead of your competition.

Your initial investment for this type of business will be the purchasing of several hot tubs and the tools needed to install them easily and quickly.  This is where you will want to search the market place for hot tubs that will be easy to transport, hook up, and unhooked often without causing damage.  You will also need a large vehicle capable of transporting the hot tubs to your customers and back.  As noted earlier you will need to invest in a power washer to clean each hot tub out after use.

Be sure to pick out a wide variety of hot tubs if you can.  Some people will want to pay more for a hot tub that offers all of the extras.  Also, make sure that you have a contract with each of your customers to assure that you are able to pick up your hot tub, in the same condition as when you installed it for them.  When installing the hot tub make sure that you leave printed information with your customers on how to operate and care for the hot tub while they have it.

The new Flip MinoHD

by admin on November 20, 2008

I’ve decided to embark on more youtube marketing but my current camera left a lot to be desired so I went out and bought a new one. I bought the new Flip MinoHD the world’s smallest HD camcorder. At first I was a bit worried that it’s small size might mean bad video quality but I was shocked on just how high quality it’s video actually was. Flip MinoHD offers the same features that have made Flip Mino a huge hit. Weighing only 3.3 ounces, Flip MinoHD features a super-sleek, super-portable design that truly puts the power of HD video in your pocket. This portability allows you to capture HD video almost anywhere you go: a morning hike, a lazy afternoon at the park, a late-night party, and everything in between. Like other Flip Video camcorders, MinoHD offers a simple user interface with one-touch recording, making it easier and more fun than ever to take HD-quality video. Simply power on and press record, and you’ll be capturing HD video in seconds. When it’s time to edit or share your videos, flip out the USB arm and connect to any Mac or PC to launch the built-in FlipShare software. If you’re interested get one today

EasyAd Poster Discontinued?

by admin on November 12, 2008

It is with much regret that EasyAd’s attempt to create value through an open and collaborative web, has been taken advantage of and instead, may have potentially harmed the community it was intended to help grow.

Because of the potential negative impact against EasyAd and its customers, EasyAd Poster will no longer be available for purchase.
Did I Hear You Right? EasyAd Is Out Of Business?

Yes.
Any Advice for Us?

We encourage all of our users and community members to evaluate your Craigslist marketing strategies and consider:

1. Am I within Craigslist’s Terms Of Use?
2. Are my posting practices sustainable?
3. Are my posts annoying users?
4. Given the above, is the ROI still there?

We think you’ll come to the same conclusion we have. There is still tremendous value in Craigslist as a local hub in your marketing ‘bag-of-tricks,’ but is not the be-all-end-all marketing solution some have touted it to be.

Treat your community respectfully and you will reap the benefits of it for years to come.

Miss Manners Makes a House Call

by admin on November 11, 2008

Have you ever attended one of those business luncheons or fund raising dinners and realized you were the only one who knew which eating utensil to use first? Are you one of those people who actually listened when Mom said to get your elbows off the table? Did you know that you can put your good sense and polite manners to work for you?

Anyone who has patronized a clothing store or a family restaurant probably has a story to tell of disappointing, perhaps even deplorable, customer service. It sometimes seems that the old saying is true. Good help is hard to find. What employer wouldn’t hire someone to teach basic etiquette skills to his workers, especially if he thought it would improve the bottom line?

Becoming an image consultant is relatively easy for those people who inherently know this stuff anyway. Quick research at the library will provide you with ample material for a packet of handouts. Have business cards and brochures printed up and you are ready to get to work.

I know a business owner who, after repeated attempts to enforce a proper dress policy, finally spent $400 for a consultant to present a weekend workshop.

Not only did the consultant explain the importance of appearance, she also instructed the staff on the proper way to answer a telephone and take a message. She touched on the basics of good letter writing and sending thank you notes. The employees were taught and then given a chance to practice a really good handshake. They even learned what different types of handshakes communicate.

That evening the consultant dined with the entire staff and offered tips throughout the meal. Who orders first? Is it okay to have an alcoholic beverage? How do you avoid awkwardness when the check comes? What do you do when your meal is prepared incorrectly? In addition, yes, she told them which fork to use first.

A weekend workshop could be held as a retreat. For more convenience, you could offer one-hour courses during lunch right there at the office.

The classes could be changed, of course, depending on the nature of the business. For example, in August of 2003, USA Today reported a widespread problem with inappropriate dressing in the high schools - by the teachers. You could offer to do an in-service for new teachers. Even more fun might be to offer a class to those high school students preparing for college scholarship interviews or college graduates preparing for job interviews.

With minimal preparation, you could make money sharing your knowledge of professional behavior with today’s workforce. With the resulting improved customer service, employers and consumers alike are bound to be happier. Just think, you could be improving business, making the world a happier place and earning a living all at the same time…and all because you know how to mind your manners.

Missing Money

by admin on November 10, 2008

Almost everybody is searching for a little spare cash right now, and here’s one way that may help. Look for money that belongs to you, only is being held up by the government. A internet site called Missing Money can assist you in doing precisely that, and it is simple and free.

State laws called for companies and governments that have money belonging to you to turn it over whenever you can not be found. You could have forgotten about a bank account you had, and you may have long moved away from the address the bank had on file for you. You may have a balance in a retirement fund from a job you had 15 years ago, and they’ve lost track of you. There may be a tax refund that you never received because your check was returned to the Internal Revenue Service as undeliverable by the post office.

States collect these fund and attach your name to them, in case you ever decide to claim the money. Missing Money has tapped into the databases maintained by most states to offer you an easy way to search for your own name. If you find funds that belong to you, the site will help you submit your information to the appropriate agency to collect your money. How much easier could it be?

I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the data on the web site, or whether people have used it with success, merely it looks worth a try. Subsequently you have nothing to lose… only money to find!
